By booking a BBQ cleaning service with Aspect Home Services Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"), you ("the Client") agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your booking.
Disconnect the gas before we arrive. Propane tanks fully closed and detached; natural gas shut off at the valve. We do not touch gas components, and we cannot start without this done.
The Client must fully disconnect the gas supply to the barbecue before our team arrives. For propane BBQs this means the tank valve fully closed and the tank detached from the BBQ. For natural gas BBQs it means shutting off the supply at the designated valve, usually on the supply line or at the property shut-off point.
The Client must ensure the gas supply is safely disconnected and confirm this at the time of booking. Our team will visually verify disconnection on arrival, but will not perform any gas-related disconnection, reconnection or repair.
Failure to disconnect the gas supply may create unsafe conditions, including the risk of a gas leak. The Client assumes full responsibility for completing this step correctly.
If the gas supply is not disconnected when our team arrives, Aspect Home Services Ltd. reserves the right to refuse to complete the service at our sole discretion.
In such cases a service call fee of $100 CAD may be charged to cover travel and time, payable immediately. Alternatively the Client may disconnect the gas supply in the presence of our team, and service may proceed once safety is confirmed.
If service is refused for non-compliance, rescheduling is treated as a new booking, subject to availability and applicable rates.
Our service is limited to cleaning non-gas components of the BBQ, such as grates, drip trays, hoods and exterior surfaces. We do not service, repair, adjust or handle gas lines, burners, valves or other fuel-related components.
If our team spots a potential gas-related issue during cleaning, such as a damaged hose, a leak or clogged burners, we will tell the Client but cannot address it. The Client is responsible for hiring a licensed gas technician for any repair or reconnection.
Aspect Home Services Ltd., its employees, contractors and agents are not liable for any damage, injury or loss arising from: the Client's failure to properly disconnect the gas supply; pre-existing defects, wear or damage to the BBQ, whether identified during cleaning or not; or gas leaks, fires or other incidents related to the BBQ's gas system before, during or after our service.
The Client acknowledges that BBQ cleaning carries inherent risks, including potential damage to aging or poorly maintained equipment. By booking, the Client assumes responsibility for the condition of their BBQ and any risks associated with using it after cleaning.
Aspect Home Services Ltd. carries commercial general liability insurance with coverage up to $1,000,000 CAD. Proof of coverage is available on request.
If our team damages your property or your BBQ, tell us within 48 hours of the service, with photos where possible. We will investigate and put it right, either by repairing it, replacing it, or crediting the cost, at our reasonable discretion. This does not apply to the pre-existing conditions described in 4.1.
We do not guarantee the operational performance or safety of the BBQ after cleaning. The Client is responsible for having the BBQ reconnected and tested by a qualified professional where necessary.
Full payment is due on completion of service unless otherwise agreed. If service is refused for non-compliance, see section 2, any applicable fees are invoiced immediately.
Cancellations must be made in writing, either by email to contact@aspectbbqcleaning.ca or by text to (905) 707-8884. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are subject to a fee equal to 25% of the agreed job value in CAD, net of any discounts.
If a job is rescheduled within 24 hours of the original service date and then cancelled at any time after that original date, the cancellation fee still applies regardless of notice period.
Payment is due in full within seven days of service completion. Late fees apply at a fixed rate of $20 CAD per day, capped at 20% of the invoice value, unless otherwise specified.
The Client must provide a safe, accessible work area, free from hazards unrelated to the BBQ itself.
Our team may halt work if conditions are unsafe, including active gas leaks or aggressive behaviour from the Client or anyone else on site.
BBQ cleaning is outdoor work. We reserve the right to reschedule a booking where weather makes the work unsafe or would compromise the result, including heavy rain, ice, or extreme cold. We will give you as much notice as we can, and rescheduling for weather never carries a fee.
If our team cannot reach the BBQ on arrival, for example a locked gate, a dog in the yard, or no access to water or power, we will contact you. If we cannot start within a reasonable window, section 2.2 applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute arising from this agreement will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
By booking our service the Client confirms they have read, understood and agreed to these terms. The Client also acknowledges that Aspect Home Services Ltd. is not a licensed gas contractor under the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), as it is not required to be, and that Aspect does not perform gas-related work.
